Travis J. Burnett is a Mass Communications student enrolled at Las Positas College (LPC) in Livermore, Calif.
Currently working on A.A. degrees in Language Arts and Social Science, he will also be completing LPC's certificate program in the field of Mass Communications.
Travis has been writing poetry and short stories since childhood, but the bulk of his mass communications experience has been in the field of journalism.
He has written for the LPC Express for a total of four semesters and held positions ranging from staff writer to opinions editor to sports editor.
Other areas of experience include news writing, copy editing, and on-air radio broadcasting at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan.
In 2001, Travis received an award from the Journalism Association of Community Colleges in the category of feature writing.
